Outdoors this weekend... The holiday weekend is coming up, the weather should hopefully be cooling down a bit, and it should be perfect to get outside and enjoy it. Depending on what this pesky tropical storm does. Although I'm not adverse to walking in the if it comes to that. I'm not into crowds and noise, but I could be convinced to see the fireworks at somewhere like Antietam if you're into them. Maybe after a hike at Harper's Ferry along the river? It's one of my favorite places. I like places with a sense of history...much like Ellicott City/Oella. With that said, I don't have any expectations for anything beyond this weekend. I'm still close to my ex and my , and have a supportive relationship with them. I also travel frequently for my full time job, and I have a business on the side. Therefore, I'm not exactly able to devote the proper time and attention that a serious relationship requires. However, I do miss companionship, closeness, and an intellectual connection. Someone to do crosswords with over coffee...philosophize...a man has needs, too. I am very tall -- probably the tallest person you've run across -- and try to stay fit, biking and hiking regularly, despite a penchant for desserts. My bike is always in my trunk, ready to go. I used to jog more, but on my latest outings, I had some painful knees and shins afterwords. I think I just need new shoes. I'm not and politiy I them as I see them. As a contrarian, identifying with parities, -isms, and groupthink is not my thing. I'm more comfortable in jeans/t-shirts, and detest getting dressed up. I have been cooking more and trying to eat better, staying away from processed crap, but I do like a good old steak every now and then. I gave up my TV and don't want to sound like a pompous ass about it, but it really is for the better. I watch Breaking Bad and Mad Men online though, as well as some food and science shows, and at some point I want to re-watch The Sopranos. I've also been reading a lot lately...thrillers and mysteries...and have a weakness for campy 70s . I'm not materialistic or possession- and status-obsessed at all.
